Trainer : Tony Lavender RD MBA FCMI FIC CMC

Tony Lavender is an independent qualified Management Consultant who was previously a senior Government administrator in the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the Cabinet Office, with extensive experience in management, policy, consultancy, project management and training areas. He was the Deputy Director of the Civil Service College responsible for consultancy training for the UK Civil Service.

Operating as Consultancy and Development International (CDI), for over 12 years, providing consultancy advice and training in the UK and over 15 countries abroad, as well as helping several British companies with their public sector marketing.

He has also run CDI as a CMI authorised 'Registered Centre' for over 6 years, which offers the Certificate in Management Consulting Essentials - with over 150 successful students and is an approved mentor for the international Certified Management Consultant qualification - with 37 successes to date. He has been the director for the Moving into Consultancy course for the past 2 years and currently runs his own company www.cdiuk.org

The objectives are to give the delegates:

1) An understanding of management consultancy

2) An appreciation of the consultancy cycle and the project journey

3) A background of some theories and consultancy tools/approaches

4) Advice on entering consultancy and becoming established, qualified and credible
