We often hear it said that change is the only constant in life. Evolution has taught us that change is associated with risk! Thus we resist it. Despite this resistance to change, it is more important than ever that we do change. In 2018 we face so many rapid changes and challenges, individually, corporately and societally. In today's society the pace of change will only continue to accelerate.
Organisations and people that don't embrace change are bound to lose ground and stagnate. Whether you are anxiously anticipating a change - or in the midst of a challenging one – come and hear from those who have been successful.
The effects of change ripple out in an organisation, probably quicker in smaller organisations. So, be prepared in advance, listen to those who have experience and hear the lessons learned.

Patrick has worked in the ICT industry for over 30 years. He began as a software developer and quickly moved into ICT business sales. In 1987 he joined Medical & Scientific Computer Services which has evolved from a Queens University start up, employing 12 staff when Patrick joined to become Xperience Group, across three UK locations, employing over 100 staff with a turnover of £10M. Patrick is a business partner within the company and as Group Director is responsible for both customer retention and new business strategies for the organisation.
John is the International Sales and Leadership specialist on the Linkubator team. He has deep personal experience in helping mentees to examine how they influence those around them, ensuring that they are effective in building healthy relationships both inside and outside the organisations. This includes improving personal emotional intelligence and understanding how best to motivate individuals and teams.
John has an extensive track record in engineering mutually beneficial transactions for multinational companies and is passionate about passing his skills and experience onto leaders, top teams and those aspiring to develop their business leadership skills.
He is an experienced business mentor to leaders of all levels in organisations of all sizes. From Non-Executive Director and Chairman and has also worked with many family owned businesses in succession and strategic planning.
John is co-author of the book "STAR - Leadership Behaviours for Stellar SME growth", Oak Tree Press.
He assists organisations to increase sales, re-structure, build their brand, negotiate and export their goods, as well as working on strategic assignments with the top teams of large indigenous and international businesses.
John has trained and mentored over 400 SMEs across sectors and now spends most of his time working with senior team members to establish the necessary personal development and team structures to sustain continued growth.

“Mike Mullan retired as HR and Organisation Development Director for Moy Park in 2017, where he was responsible for leading the company’s HR, Corporate Affairs, Risk Management and Sustainability functions. Mike re-joined Moy Park in 2011, returning to the company having spent close to ten years in the business in the 1990s and together with his Executive colleagues Mike played a leading role in the recent transformation of Moy Park into N Ireland’s largest private company and a top 10 UK Food Business.
Mike is a former member of both the NI CBI Council and the UK National Skills Academy for Food & Drink and prior to his return to Moy Park he was HR and Corporate Change Director with Dale Farm.
In 2015 Mike was named UK Director of the Year for Leadership in Corporate Responsibility by the IOD and in 2017 he was named HR Director of the Year by NI CIPD. Beside his continuing business interests Mike is a board member of Corrymeela, the Bryson Charitable Group and The Lyric Theatre.”
